Temporarily disabling a product
Do you want to temporarily make a product unavailable to employees? You can temporarily disable the product. You can also set your own message that will be displayed to the employee on the product page. This message can be translated, allowing you to set an appropriate notification for each language.
You can also set an end date. Once this date has passed, the product will automatically become available to employees again.
For example, you can temporarily disable a product when the limit for that product has been reached. Employees will temporarily be unable to order the product and will see on the product page why the product is unavailable.
Temporarily disabling a product
You can temporarily disable a product by following these steps:
- Go to Settings > General.
- Under Shop, you will see Temporarily unavailable products.
- Click Add product to select the product you want to make temporarily unavailable. You can also set an end date here. Once the end date has passed, the product will automatically become available to employees again.
- Under Message, you can set the message based on the situation. For example, you can explain that the limit for the product has been reached and that the product therefore cannot be ordered temporarily.
What does the employee see?
When an employee opens a temporarily unavailable product, the product cannot be ordered. Instead, the message you have set will be displayed on the product page.
The product will remain visible in FiscFree. This allows the employee to see that the product exists, but that it is temporarily unavailable.
This way, the employee immediately knows why the product cannot be ordered temporarily, so you do not have to explain this for each individual order or employee.
